ELEPHANTS--SURVIVALISTS FROM ANCIENT TIMES, WITH US TODAY, BUT WILL THEY BE WITH US TOMORROW?
Elephants---unusual and unique mammals. Elephants are unlike any other animals alive today. This wonderful animal is a record breaker. It is not only the largest land animal, but is also the second tallest. Elephants have larger ears, teeth and tusks than any other animal. An elephant is also one of the few animals to have a nose in the form of a long trunk. In addition, the elephant is highly intelligent and after humans the longest living mammal. Elephants are unlike most animals in another way. They continue to grow throughout their lives---the older they become, the bigger and more impressive they become. Surely this fellow member of the animal kingdom is worthy of being saved from extinction.
